People can use television for many purposes. For example, some people watch television for relaxing, learning about situations in the world, and increasing their knowledge. But some people watch television just for relaxing. For me, I watch television for learning about the situations happening in the world, increasing my knowledge, and relaxing. It does not seem that watching television destroy communication among friends and family of mine. Thus, I do oppose the statement that television has destroyed communication among friends and family.

I watch television in order to learn the situations happening in my country as well as in the other countries. I think it can broaden my points of view. In addition, I watch some documentary films and some teaching English language programs as well. I can increase my knowledge by watching these kinds of television programs. Besides, I watch some soap operas and game show programs for relaxing. I can talk about any exciting news, soap operas, or game show programs with my friends and family. We can share our ideas about them as well. Therefore, I cannot see how television destroys communication among friends and family. In stead, I can get more topics to talk to others from the television.

In conclusion, I do disagree with the statement that television has destroyed communication among friends and family. I personally think that it is an exaggeration. I believe that everything has it own advantages and disadvantages. It depends on the ways people use them. For television, I think that if you know how to use it, you will get so many benefits from it.
