Celebrities are always the focus of recreation. The more we are interested in them, the less privacy they would have. But the reason why they are exposed to the public so much is not as simple as that.
We, the masses, truly play an important part in this phenomenon. Youngsters are eager to get more information of the actors or athletes they like. This sometimes is salubrious, because generally speaking, successful person has the personalities conducible to his success. The autobiography of Sophia has inspired a whole generation. But when we are fond of an actor, we want to get more of his private life. This is no wonder. So we can often see the fanatical enthusiasm dedicated to the actor or actress.
The press adds fuel to the flames. To make greater profits, magazines must include some ¡°scoops¡± to pander to the public¡¯s taste. To succeed, some reporters must show his talent of excavating news. Diana was obsessed by the press greatly. And she was said to be deprived of life by the persist pursuit of reporters. She paid too much for her popularity and privacy even her life.
But there are some celebrities who like to be the topics of talking. They can not bear being in oblivion. Sometimes they themselves make some sensational news to attract the public¡¯s attention. In my country there is a famous actress, who had imputed her divorce to the overexposure of her marriage. Ironically, she glamorized her ordeal of her divorce and the happy life of her second marriage on TV shortly after her second wedding.
There maybe some other reasons that cause the phenomenon which is too complex to be explained in one word. But I think, the public is the initiating factor.
