More and more chinese want to go aboard. some choose study and then try
to stay there after graduation; some want to immigrate to whatsoever
permitted country directly. It's so hot like a popular song spreading
around all the corners of China. Does everyone who choose the way think
it over or just follow the trend? It's an important step for one's life,
It's necessary to be clear about the advantages and disadvantages about
going aboard.

The followings are my ideas according to my experience:
The advantages of going aboard is:
1> Learn English and modern technology
The youngsters are learning to be competent in the labor market with
fluent English and high-tech knowledge. Going aboard provide a better
environment for this purpose. Exposed fully in a developed English
country, people can learn faster and easier.
2>Make money and build a solid economy foundation for living
To live is the basic right and necessity in the world. Without enough
money, people can not live well. Most chinese are poor and dream to be
rich, that's why so many chinese want to go aboard as salaries outside
are much higher than those in the homeland. Most chinese want to make
big money outside to support their families and enjoy happy lives when
they are old.
3>Pursuit a new style of life with better culture and stable environment

China is in the transform era. It may become strong and prosperous and
it also has risk of breaking down. There are a lot of conflictions
hidden under the government administration. With large population, rare
natural resources and unbalanced classes, it's not easy to manage the
whole bunch of problems. North America is a relatively new land for
humans. They have little pollution and full of resources. As the USA and
canada are immigration countries, they build a balanced system to
protect human's rights with less discriminations. Many people want to go
aboard to find a stable social environment for a better living.
The disadvantages of going aboard is:
1>Losing the properties you have in China
In the short run, you will lose your job and position in China. In the
long run, you will leave chinese culture and language which play
important roles in the lives. When you are in Rome, do as Romans. It's
no easy job for the new comers to familiarize with new environment, and
it's possible you are not used to chinese society after long stay in
other countries.
2>New challenges for a good living
Good English and high technique skill are important for making a living
in the foreign country. Without friends' help, the new comers must be
very independent to solve any problems they would meet, such as buying a
car, applying for school, renting a house and hunting for a job. It's a
big challenge for everyone who want to go aboard. The risk is
unavoidable. Some may be successful to enjoy their livings after all the
combats of the living, Some may be fail to survive with no job and
family. When you make decisions, please think of all the possibilities
and prepare for them.

Everything has two sides, So does going aboard. Don't consider developed
countries as heavens and don't consider them as hells, either. From my
views in general, I think the advantages of going aboard overweigh the
disadvantages of it. As we are young, I hope we are brave to face and
overcome all the difficulties and will be the winner of our lives!
