Some people believe that the earth is being harmed by human activity, while others feel that human activity makes the earth a better place to live. People hold these different opinions because they think about the world from different aspects.
Human beings have continually developed their technologies and other knowledge for trying to improve their living qualities since long time ago. People learned how to change a wildland to a farming land; how to build roads to expand their living territories, and how to mine the useful minerals to make metals that are used for making tools, and other high technologies. These improvements extremely changed our lives. Today, our lives are better than lives at any time in history. No one can oppose this. We live on the earth, and get necessary resources from the earth to support us from generation to generation. There is nothing wrong with it.
But unforturetually, there is one very important principle ignored by people, the natural resources on the earth are limited. People often constantly ask for natural fortune from the earth without thinking what damage will be brought to the land we depend on. Because of this, there are many environmental problems occurring on the earth now. Attended by the industrialization, people who live in this century have less fresh air, cleaning water than those at any past time. Numerous species are extinct because they lost the environmental on which they depend.
From the above, my point of view is very clear. When we ask for resources from the earth, do not overdo it. We must make sure that these natural resources can keep developing at future time. We can¡¯t leave a barren land to our offspring.

Some people say that there s nothing that young people can tech old people. I do not agree this kind of opinion.
There are uncountable knowledge in the world. Even the most intelligent person spend his whole life to study, it is impossible to know all kinds of knowledge. The world changes everyday, everybody needs to keep studying new knowledge throughout his life. It is true that most old people have more experience than young people. From this point, I respect those people. But does that mean old people must have more knowledge than young people? The answer is ¡°of course not!¡± For example, let us talk about the knowledge about computer. Many people who are at my mum and dad¡¯s age, cannot understand how this thing works, why we can use e-mail to communicate with our friends instead of writing a letter and posting it with 20 cents stamp. However, more and more young people not only use computer to communicate, but also use it do their works, researches and many other important things. Can those old people teach these things? On the contrary, young people can teach those old people.
The changing rate of the world is more and more faster, no matter old people or young people, should not hold on to their old experience and knowledge. Everyone needs to learn new things from other people to keep updated. Therefore young people can play a role in teaching older people.
