It has been said, "Not everything that is learned is contained in books." Compare and contrast knowledge gained from experience with knowledge gained from books. In your opinion, which source is more important? Why?

Nowadays, there are books about almost every possible subject or topic available. I have to admit that you can learn a lot from books. But just not everything. The most important things in life, like interpersonal relationships, for example, have to be experienced and cannot be learned from books.

Certainly, books are a valuable scource to gain knowledge from. In order to get a good education you must, of course, learn how to write and read, u must learn basics in math, history, politics and so many more. Later on when you specialize in a few subjects you still have to use books to increase your knoledge on the subject you are studying.

However, I think the most important things in life can’t be tought or learned from books, they have to be experienced. All the things that have to do with relationships between people, starting with making friends, going on with finding the right person to fall in love with, getting married, raising children. There’s no book that could teach you how to do those things. You have to experience these situations to know how they feel. Those are the situation that forms our life and build our character as a person and they can definitely not be tought.
