It is a well known fact,that people have to work all through out their lives to accomplish their goals and there are a myriad of reasons to do so.
Students, for example must work hard to gain admission to a reputed college, from where they can aspire to pursue their careers. Moving on to a mature category, people work because they need money, to live, to earn bread for their families and make ends meet.
Some people work because work provides an opportunity to display their talents and their expetise in their respective jobs. Work also gives a feeling of team spirit and belonging.
For example, all the workers in a company would aspire to give their company good name and all the while building a better understanding of their colleagues and themselves.
Yet for many others such as doctors, salesmen, spokesmen work provides an excellent opportunity to meet new people and have new daily experiences. some people work perhaps because work provide a chance to pursue their interests and may be it also provides deliverance from boredom.
I think that most people work, to contribute what little they can towards the betterment of the world around them and some just for the pure joy of accomplishing something and to do what they are best at doing. After all, there is no greater satisfaction than of a job well done.
