One of the unique characteristic of Thai people is friendliness with cordial smile to both the native people and the foreigners. If I have to choose a custom from my country that I would like people from other countries to adopt, it must be this attractive custom because of three main reasons.
First of all, It would make the tourists impressive and cozy. Whenever one have to leave his hometown to the other countries where they are not familiar with, one usually need a warm greeting from the native people. Moreover, they sometimes require help because they don't know how to go to their hotels or forget their passports, and then they will not hesitate to ask for help if the people in that country are genial.
Secondly; besides, it is also beneficial to themselves. In any situation such as on the road, the work place or even the footpath, if one has to be entangled in any difficult circumstances, one will be assured that one would be safe. For example, in Bangkok, there are a radio station established in order to recieve a help call from the drivers in case of an emergency on the road, and then if someone who is driving nearby the situation, he will often go to help them as quickly as possible.
Finally, in the long term It would decrease the people's stress. After working everyday, people have to face a number of problems, and it must be better if everybody still gives a friendly smile to each other
To sum up, although there are a lot of decent customs in my country, friendliness is the one I would like people from the other countries to adopt because it support the tourism and contribution among the native people; besides their stress are lessened by the cordial atmospere in the society.
