Many years ago at my Elementary School the teachers lecture. Then, the last five years of my education I changed to another school. I went to a High School where the students do some of the talking, so the class was developed by both, the teacher and the students. Because of knowing both systems I can say that I prefer the second system because the students can learn more trough other students experiences, trough participation in class and trough the evolution of the educational systems.
The first point to mark is the students experiences. In a lecture class the only person that express something is the teacher, so if he express experiences of his life they are going to be only of a kind of authority person. The student want to know about other students experiences also, they want to know about their equals.
The second point that I want to mark is the participation of students. When a student participate in class he can express their thoughts, feelings and ideas and so he began his socialization and the developed of his personality.
The third point to mark is about the evolution of the educational systems. The statistics of the Educational Census of the last year show us that 78% of students that learn by a no lecture system –modern system- have a better intellectual development as high as 66% than those that learn by a lecture one –old system.
As a conclusion I can say that I prefer to learn by a no lecture system because in class not only you can have the teacher as a professor, but also the students.
