Staying Healthy

“Health is wealth” is an adage perfected with time and age . People resort to different ways to remain healthy . Health seems to occupy the top of the priority list for majority of the people too . The methods adopted may differ with age and gender . I ,for example : work out for nearly two hours every day in a gym .

Walking was and is a common method of burning calories . It also increases the blood circulation and oxygen intake . A daily stroll is also quite convenient as it does not have many requirements ,besides the time . But there is a slight disadvantage as the climate greatly affects the mode of exercise .

Various other exercises like jogging , swimming and running are also preferred by many . Playing sports such as tennis , football and basketball are great ways to stay healthy . Volleyball has always been my one time favorite .

To pump iron in a gym is opted by many especially who don’t have much time for exercises and prefer to do more hard and strenuous exercise for a short period of time . It is especially a good option for students like me . Working out in a gym also has a lot of other benefits besides saving time . It provides a great opportunity to make friends .

Moreover staying healthy is all about eating right , I believe eating the right components make all the differences . I avoid too much of oily and fatty foods . I also consume lots of fruits and vegetables . My body could do with a good supply of vitamins and minerals .

Further more , a person ‘s health also depends on his mental happiness as well . I for one ensure the complete happiness of all my family members . After all a happy family is a healthy family .
