In this fast changing world where Darwin’s rule “The survival of the fittest” plays a pivotal role calls upon the people to mould themselves to their immediate surroundings. But at the same time it is very important to stick to some basic fundamentals, which are the backbone to our success and cannot be parted with at any given time. Therefore a crucial test of character is seen by whether one is able to adapt to changing social conventions without sacrificing one's principles.

Character of a person is best judged by his virtues and is reflected by his body language. A man with good moral character is one who is amiable and reliable. A man’s character is put to test at times of hardship and eventualities.

But man of principle is not necessarily the most ideal person in the world. Can one imagine a society, which does not change at all? In this world where change is the need of the hour one needs to prune oneself as per the changes in the immediate surrounding.

A good example of this is evident by the fact that we are so very different from our ancestors and forefathers. But in doing so had they lost civility and culture all of their achievements would not have been in vain as we would not have relished the fruits of our success.

The key to our present day success lies in unified progressive approach. So the actual test of ones character in his ability to change without losing on his morals.
