There is a general debate nowadays on the issue of whether to live in a small town or in a big city. After pondering this question on many occasions, together with the feeling from my own experience, I finally choose to live in a small town.

I've been tired of those skyscrapers, cars, and noise in big cities. Although it will be more convenient to live there, and there may be more job offers and education opportunities, I feel that nature, friendship and relaxation are what I truely want, which I can only acquire in a small town.

The environment in a small town is much better than that in a big city. Away from all those air pollution, as well as noise and traffic jams, we will place ourselves closer to the nature, which is the mother of we humans. We no longer need to withstand the polluted environment. Instead, we embrace the fresh air, blue sky, green mountains, and clean water.

Relationship between people is better in a small town too. We dislike the isolation caused by the skyscrapers and the distrust among the people. We eagerly need friends, who deserve our trust and love. People in a small town are more friendly than those in a big city, where industrialization has ruined the love among people.

What is also worth considering is that there are generally less strain in a small town than in a big city. People in big cities always suffer from mental strain, which can cause a variety of mental disease. Comparatively, people in small towns are more relaxed. They have their minds in peace, and live happily.

Choosing to live in a small town means choosing to live more healthily, more friendly, and more happily. We humans are all creatures looking for happiness, so why don't we say goodbye to those big cities and find a better way to live?
