"Unlike radios in the olden days, televisions of today are more useful because we can hear as well as watch all the advertisements."
The above sentence states something very obvious and could be rephrased for a better fit.
"Advertising on TV is very effective because the viewer uses more senses in interacting with the product.This is much more beneficial than just hearing about the product on radio or other media."
