What are the important qualities of a good son or daughter? Have these qualities changed or remained the same over time in your culture? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
In my culture, parents are the persons who are very important for us since we are children until we are adults. They feed and take care us until we are mature; however, when we grow up, both of them may be old. As a result of their kind, we should be a good son or daughter, but that varies in the different cultures. Also, that differs from time to time.
In my culture and my opinion, the grateful son or daughter should take care their parent by giving them monthly salary to spend when they are retired and have no job. Moreover, a good one should take care them when they are sick. Once in my life, when my mother , normally a strong person, was sick and had an operation in a hospital, both of my brothers and one younger sister were anxious. Furthermore, all of us had so much sense of obligation that we tried to give her willpower and take care her after that operation. Finally, she were strong.
However, nowadays mostly people have to work outside our home. So, there are many questions such as how to take care our old parents at home, who will take care our young babies and also who will clean our house and cook.. Some may employ servant to do those while others are not able to do that. As a result ,some left their parent home and take care their baby, also sometimes cook . Some parent may be willing to do those, but some may suffer to do when they are old. How should a good son or daughter take care their parent in a present day?
