When people succeed, it is because of hard work; luck has nothing to do with success.

In my view I have witnessed both the situations where luck indeed played a vital role in one's sucess. On contary, I have also been in situations where hardwork played high rewards.

Below are some of examples that will illustrate the role of luck in one's life.

here is the first example: In 1997 I watched world series cricket match played between India and Pakistan. the two teams played excellently well. But at the climax India dominated the proceeding and there were 10 balls to go and was requiring 5 runs to win and their best of the batsman were at the greece. But weather played a bad role, which not only sopped the match but also resulted in cancellation of that match. So, what I am trying to say here is , though sometimes one has done all the hardwork, but sometimes has to wait for a longer times to get those rewards, if one's luck is not favaorable.

Sometimes even though we make lot of preparation to suceed in an exam, but what if some of the questions come out of syllabus. In this situations not only "one" student gets affected but overall academic progress of all the students who took the exam for that academic year will be delayed. Finally, someones negligience will turn into others bad luck. This is a situation where inspite of hardwork one's career gets delayed due to lack of luck.
But on the whole while I would certainly recommend people not to rely only on luck but one must always workhard. as after the sucess when one gets rewards in the form of awards, he will be more happy to get them out of his hardwork than luck. Moreover the happiness and satisfaction can come only by one's hardwork. Also the thing to be noted here is luck is something which comes by surprise. Relying only on luck can halt happiness in one's career. So lets all rely more on hardwork than luck.

Although, I really do not think we need exmaples to illustrtae hardwork. Anticipating the only example that comes to my mind at this time is" One cannot monitor someone's luck, but can monitor one's hardwork".
