With the development of advanced technology, computers have more and more relations with our lives. Some people say that computers have made life easier and more convenient. Other people say that computers have made life more complex and stressful. In my point of view, I would prefer to choose the former opinion.
There are numerous reasons why computers have made life easier and more convenient, and I would here explain a few of the most important ones. The main reason is that people can decrease a lot of workload by using computers. Before inventing computers, people, especially, mathematicians dealed with a great number of data through using calculaters by themselves. The processes of calculation are always very long and complex. But now, using computers as their assistants, those scientists can finish their work in a short time. They can spend more time on researching other important theories.
Another reason why I advocate the attitude of tha first opinion is that computers let us communicate with others more conveniently. It can be given a concrete example. Letters are our traditional communication means and they must need a long time to mail. Computers, however, bring us another fast communcation tools. People that live in any areas of the world can send and receive their friends almost at the same time. Their friends maybe live in a long distance to them.
One very strong argument for people have benefit from computers is that people can touch the world quickly through computers. In the ancient times, people must travel to other places to learn new things outside their lives. Nowadays, we can browse all kind of websites by computers to read the newest news, listen to music, and learn knowledge. We can 'visit' other countries from the Internet instead of traveling by ourselves.
Of course, computers has disadvantages to some extent. For example, people must master the use of computers, and it is very difficult to the elder persons. People lose some chances to do something by themselves, such as travel.
But if all these factors are contemplated, the advantages of computers carry more weight than the disadvantages. From what has been discussed above, we may finally draw the conclusion that computers have make life easier and more convenient.
