A good neighbor has common qualities. In my opinion, there are three important qualities of a good neighbor, which, I believe, is generally accepted.
First, friendliness is an important character for a good neighbor. Even though I had a lot of opportunities to talk with him, if he was not friendly, I could not get along with him. Without friendliness, being with the neighbor would not have me relaxed or feel comfortable.
Second, we hope that a neighbor is kind enough to help us, especially when we are in trouble. If a neighbor is not kind, I cannot expect his help, which depresses me more because I naturally hope people around me is kind to me.
Third, tolerance is essential. I had an unpleasant experience hearing an older stubborn man who lived next to my apartment, always complaining that a baby of a neighbor cried at night. I also do not like noise, but I think it cannot be helped. I think that a person who can put up with such situation is desirable.
In conclusion, I think that friendliness, kindness and tolerance are the qualities of a nice neighbor. Do you think I expect too much from a neighbor?
