When I was adolescent I asked myself a question, “What is success?”
I remember that I took my time, served myself a warm cup of coffee, lit up a cigarette, and begun to think about it. I concluded that success is “Being in the right place and in the right moment” and money take relevance in few cases.
That’s why I flatly disagree with the fact that successful are only people who earn a lot of money. There are many other things that makes you feel that you are a successful person.
What would I make if I had a lot of money?. It’s a nice possibility. Probably I would buy a big house with five rooms, surely an enormous poll, and a nice garage for my Porche. Else I would buy the dream of my life, a big sailboat to go around the world. But what would happen If I have no healthy to enjoy all of those things, what would happen if I haven’t got a numerous family to occupied the many rooms of my house, and at least, what would happen I if haven’t got a woman and children to love them. I feel that anyway you have much money, if you don’t have healthy, family and love to enjoy with them, you would probably have nothing.
Which person have nothing in it’s life? A good example may be a head family of an African tribe. Success for this person may be to obtain food for his family or find a deep river where he can get a lot of water to his family and else for all members of his tribe. This feat probably convert him as the most famous man of the tribe; and fame is synonymous of success.
Another people who don’t earn a lot of money can fell successful by other things as being the best professional in his field, or being a modest but successful business man in his neighborhood. So probably different people fell successful in many different ways. Highlighting in this case, that professionalism and prestige may be other factors that make fell that you are a successful person.
As a conclusion I want to remark that I reject the statement that successful are only people who earns a lot of money, but with the voice of the experience I want to remark all what I had express above, adding that “money, helps a lot”.
