Friendship is very important in our life. But making friends is a matter of choice, as it depends on our individual needs. Some people need only one or two very close friends, soul friends, others cannot live without having more friends.

I belong to the first category. I need total confidence in my friends, therefore I permanently build upon my relationship. I find it difficult to share life facts with lot of people – again and again and again. In the same time, I find it difficult to let others have me engaged in a lot of relationships, because I cannot answer all their needs. Also time is a very important factor – the more of it you spend with your friends, the more of it they spend with you. So, how can I possibly have so much time?

But I think this is a weakness of mine. And I try my best to allow others become my close friends. Because this kind of multiple friendship gives one emotional freedom, diversity of choices and … lot of fun. You depend no more on a person, the friend, but afford yourself to change friends more often: one comes, another goes. And maybe somewhere you will find the right person to be your friend. The only friend?

I certainly belong to the first category. I certainly can try to improve the way I look at friendship, but not to change it. I can allow myself many acquaintances, but only one or two soul-friends.
