Working for an employer or owning a business depends on various factors. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages. I prefer to work for an employer for some time before starting my own business.
Before making a choice, I need to think about the risk and rewards involved. Working for an employer is of lower risk compared to owning a business. There is a possibility of losing capital in business. Moreover, there is so much stress involved in running a business. Again, There is no work hour limit in business.
Capital also plays an important role in determining the choice. If I need to start my own business, I need to have some capital first. So, I would prefer to work for an employer so that I can get some income in the form of salary and later , I can start my own business. For example, a chef can work for an employer for some time in a restaurant and after having some income he can start his own restaurant. Meanwhile, he can also build up some experience .
Family life and happiness also plays an important role in selecting a choice. In the case of business, I may not have much time to spend with my family. And due to the stress involved in business, my personal life may be effected.
After considering all these points, ,I would like to work for an employee for sometime so that I can gain some capital, experience, and time for my personal life. Later I will start my own business with all the knowledge and experience I had by working for an employer.
