Nowadays movies are popular all over the world. In my view, movies are so popular not only because they entertain people and make people think, but also because of the invention of the television. The arguments for the view go as follows.
The first evident reason is that movies make audience think, amuse and entertain. After watching a movie, people can learn something or feel relax, on the other word, people can benefit form the movie. For example, some movies are serious, designed to make audience think and learn, such as a Chinese movie named "King Qingshihuang". It is a historical movie with almost several hundred years of Chinese history. People who watch it can learn a lot of knowledge and good mental inspiration. Another movies are fun, designed primarily to amuse and entertain, make people relax and fun after a long day work or study, such as the Chinese movie "the Zoo". Can you image that after one day boring work, sit on the comfortable sofa, have a cup of delicious coffee, and watch a wonderful movie, how relaxant you are.
Another possibility to make the movie throughout the world is the invention of television.
