A nation should allow schools in different parts of the nation to determine which academic to offer. Although some essential knowledge should be taught to every student of the nation before they enter college, since different parts have many differences in customs, culture backgrounds,economic situation and other accepts, they should be entitled to offer courses of their own charactors.
One good example of why they should have some automonous rights to offer courses is in the language teaching field. As we all know that some minorities have their own languages,so it is indubitable that they have the right to study their mother tongue although they should study the available language of the country as well while students in other parts do not need to learn that language. For instance, in China, Tibetans have their own language and Tibetan students have the courses to study while others needn't.
Another reason for why the automonous decided curriculum is more advisable than the national curriculum is that the same knowledge if be taught in different forms according to actuality may have a better effect. Take the applyment of the computer in China for example,in east part of the nation where is better-off,schools can offer computer courses to students and this course may become an accessory for their studies in other subjects.While in some poverty-stricken regions, it is impossible for them to offer this kind of course.Alikeiy,schools of eastern part do not need to cancel these courses only to meet the requirement of the national curriculum.
These are only two examples of why different parts of a nation should be allowed to determine
which academic courses to offer and the naional curriculum is not advisable.National currculum offers a conspectus of the knowledge that a student should acquire before enter college, but automonous right to offer courses is much more important because it is the effective way to make the students in different parts better educated.
