Nowadays education plays a very important role in our
society. Especially young people are encouraged to learn as much as
they can. I think that it is never too early for a good education but
it ought to be non-formal.
Several studies showed that kids at the age of four to six have
a high learning potential and this potential should be used to their
advantage. Children at this stage learn especially languages very fast
and should therefore e.g. spend holiday in a foreign country. There
they would learn the language very easily and fast. Based on these
abilities it would be very easy to encourage the child to learn this
language at home in a more formal way.
My view of a formal education is a child in a school uniform sitting
on a desk in the classroom and try to learn something about the greek
history and that does not fit to the interests of a child; it is just
boring and the child will lose the interest on these topics and
other issues. And this can not be the proper way.
To my opinion the motivation of a child to learn something is very
important for the future development. Therefore i would show the child
that learning can and should be fun. I would play games like memory,
scrabble or trivial pursuit. Through this games the child would learn
something and has fun as well.
The child would learn something through this soft and native education
and has therefore a small advantage at school. Through this
benefit school would not be a big threat at the beginning and
therefore the child would have more fun in school as well.
