Your school has enough money to purchase either computers for students or books for the library. Which should your school choose to buy-computers or books? Use specific reasons and examples to support your recommendation.
In my opinion, both computers for students and books for the library are very important things in terms of educational purposes. Generally, most students use books and computers as their educational tools. However , I feel strongly that school authority should spend their available budgets on purchasing computers because of the increasing sophisticated school assignments and economically poor students.
In the first place, most professors and instructors have required much well-organized and nice-looking assignments or projects to the students and so does my school. Computers can do those work using highly advanced software like M.S word , Powerpoint . It looks so beautiful and tidy. In the past, in case of our school, many students just handed in their assignments and any sorts of papers by hand- writing. These patterns most students have used so far have been replaced by super computers. Also, these computer¡¯s use will help students to get familiar with the similar environment of working places they will get into after graduation.
In the second place, while there are students can use computers at their home, some students are lining up even for couple of hours to use computers in a small computer room. They can not afford to buy computers. However, the professors also require them equal assignments. In this case, they should rely on the computers the school have. In this case, they can not have enough time to spend other activities they can. If there are enough computers in the school, these problems can be resolved relatively easily. School must consider this aspect.
School must think seriously these problems described above and at the same time consider which decision help to make more educational atmosphere for the students. Purchasing more computers is the only alternative way to resolve above phenomenons in the 20 th century information technology will dominate.
